Resident Goldie Floberg herpetologist (that’s a scientist who studies snakes) and person served, Tina had the opportunity to teach the 2nd grade class at Washington Academy in Rockford all about the snakes that our Learning Enrichment & Empowerment Program (LEEP) takes care of. Our reptile Center is home to Piglet, Darrell, Dundee, and Loki. The snakes provide interested adults an opportunity to care for another living creature while learning about reptiles.
The LEEP provides fun, meaningful learning and community service activities for adult’s with developmental disabilities. Tina’s presentation was so popular that she and the Floberg reptiles were invited back for the school’s annual Monster Mash Halloween party. Thank you Washington Academy for letting Tina share her passion for reptiles with you!
